Name: Tramadol 
Drug class: Opioid analgesic
Dosage form: Tablet
Ingredients: Each tablet contains 100 mg tramadol hydrochloride.
Mechanism of action: Non-opioid-derived synthetic opioid; centrally acting analgesic, but may act at least partially by binding to opioid mu receptors, causing inhibition of ascending pain pathways.
Indications: Tramadol is used to relieve moderate-to-severe pain in patients for whom other analgesics have failed to relieve pain.

Dosage and administration: Doctors decide the dosage to be taken,  but the usual dose is as follows:
For long-term use: Start at 25 mg/day, then add 25-50 mg every three days, up to a maximum of 50-100 mg every 4-6 hours, if needed. Never take more than 400 mg (four tablets) / day.
For acute pain episode: 50-100 mg every 4-6 hours, if needed. Never take more than 400 mg (four tablets)/day.
Consult your doctor if you plan to stop the medication, especially after long-term use. If a person stops taking tramadol suddenly, they may experience  withdrawal symptoms.
Side effects:  Any medication may cause adverseeffects in addition to its desired therapeutic effects, although not everybody shows all the side effects.
The following side effects are possible:
Constipation, nausea, vertigo, lethargy and drowsiness, headaches, restlessness, CNS stimulation, weakness, gastrointestinal problems, asthenia, pruritus.
Contraindications:
This medication is contraindicated in children younger than 12 years.
The concurrentuse of tramadol and monoamine oxidase inhibitors (such as selegiline and rasagiline) is contraindicated.
Do not take this medication if you are allergic to tramadol or other opioid medications or have a severe respiratory disorder.
This medication is contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.
